Gsharp Guitar Tuition has been inspiring their students to develop their musical abilities since 2009.
At GSharp we believe in keeping things simple. Our team is small and hand-picked and we talk to and know all our students and families so we can help our tutors find just the right approach for every student.
What’s on offer?
We offer guitar lessons (of course), but more importantly we strive to pass on great playing habits, a sense of fun, and the love of music through our tutors.
Lessons can take place in our studio, at home, online, and during school hours (visit the Our Schools page for a list of schools).
How lessons are run?
During the lesson…
Students will build up their personalized collection of songs depending on their stylistic interests while covering important standards of playing, and various guitar techniques.
We have the same goal for every student: for them to be able to work out what they like and one day be able to teach it to themselves. Then you won’t need us (sob).
Teaching packs
Our teaching packs consist of hundreds of songs which students can choose from, featuring simple and easy-to-read numbered tabs as well as sheet music. Although we don’t insist, we like to offer to teach our students to read music.
Student reports and home practice
To ensure every student will make good progress and make the most out of their lessons, our tutors will make personalized student reports outlining strengths as well as areas to focus on.
Although this is not compulsory, students (on demand) are given a practice timetable to keep track, and help parents engage with their progress.
